M.M.C.U!

I know!
I've been busy - legitimately busy!

And sick; it that will help any......

So here is what has been going on since my last post.  Except it to be very scattered and probably a touch confusing.  Please forgive me.  I have a stellar head cold and I think I might have taken 2 of the red tabs when one was sufficient.  Web MD has assured me I will not die but am in for a interesting afternoon! A ha!

  • The gym has become my little, little lady.  I am getting strong and have noticed my clothes have been fitting me differently.  I also have discernibly muscles - yes; this lass!  And just in time for this crappy cold fall-like weather we have been having....that's OK; I'll just stun you all in the spring after I have a year under my belt! =D
  • November 11th is creeping up on me ever so quickly......
  • I have been listening to Craig Ferguson's stand up non-stop - I have perfect my Scottish accent.  Now I just need to get back over there and try it out on the local population....
  • Terri and I spent the day at the Devil's Punch Bowl.  I love it there - though it seems to be where all the kids go to deal drugs.  Not on my watch!  Wait and see....I'm gonna get shot!
  • Been tearing ass around the woods at the shop on the new 3-wheelers.  I see why they are banned; they are sketchy as hell!  If the drug dealing 13 year old punks don't get me; cracking my melon open on a tree because I can't tell remember which is clutch and which is brake, is a legitimate possibility.  Because helmets are apparently only for the educated......it is fun as hell tho!
  • Jason and I have been trying to figure out where we are going to spend Christmas/New Years.  I want Bali, He wants the Caribbean; for what I can only assume has to do with Pirates.   I've been to the Caribbean.......we are going to Bali.   Otherwise it's Mexico.  Again.  :/
  • I have a chest cold that becomes a head cold that morphs back into a chest cold.......the cycle is getting old.  And I miss smelling.  Is it May yet?!
  • I am currently 1-1 in my Fantasy Football league.........and in 2nd place.  It may only be week 2 but I am the only chick in the league --- and I drafted legitimately this year.  I did not take into account their ass in spandex or the size of their biceps; I used legitimate numbers from last year.  So suck it!  =D
  • Jason helped me conquer/goaded me into getting over my fear of heights when we went to Hoffman Hills last weekend and we climbed the 80 ft. observation tower.  My stomach still is upset from that whole tortuous experience! But it was pretty.
  • It was Bruiser 1st Birthday party yesterday - I cannot believe that it has already been a year!  I can literally hear my biological clock ticking in my ear - the bastard - being surrounded by babies yesterday DID NOT help that cause at all.  I need a puppy.  Or a goldfish.  Hell, a pet rock.
  • We turned the heat on.  WE TURNED THE HEAT ON!!!! <------------- O.o WTF!
  • Todd and Amanda moved less then 10 blocks away from us - totally the best thing ever!  Not we just need to learn how to sync our schedules so we can toss back some beers an rock out the N64!
  • Jason got me flowers.  I am still suspicious. =)
  • My German fluency is almost back to 100%.  Not sure why you (dear reader) would care but to me it has some meaning.
  • 10 years since I have lived in Germany this month - I have been doing a lot of reminiscing and looking back.  I kinda wish I would have stayed sometimes.......
That is all the dulled brain can think of......... I'll include some pictures seeing as I have not done a photo post in quite awhile.

Have a lovely week all!!!!

Terri and I at the Devil's Punch Bowl

I am afraid of heights yet I pull this jackass move over a 130 ft. cliff - I WANNA CLIMB SOME ROCK!

At the Gym watching Jason warm up with :whew: that many plates!

Tearin; ass! LOL =D

85ft up and I was shaking like a leaf the whole time......... :ugh:

I ran all the way down.  See how much happier I am!?

Max with one of the toys we gave him.

Hims not a fan of frosting! :(

And because I lack a shame gland - a video of my 85ft panic attack.  Thanks ever so much Jason, so capturing this moment in time.  :muah:

M.M.C.U!

Hello!  Happy Monday, hope yours is going as smashingly as mine has been thus far!
Here is slapdash, bullet-ed review of my last week!  Enjoy - it's pretty sub-par if you ask me! =D

  • Another week at the gym and I have added 15 pounds (2 plates!) to my upper body and 25 to my legs.  I feel fast, strong and have a ton more energy.  I am insatiable though, thanks to my new, sped-up metabolism - I am eating nonstop.  Luckily, I have a love for the treadmill so I am able to keep my weight constant.  For now.  I will beat my genetics!  No saddle bags for this lass!
  • Jason and I have hiking at the Devil's Punch Bowl a lot lately - due in part to it's proximity to our casa.  I love it there and have found it to be the perfect place to take photos.  Now if I could only climb it..........it taunts me with it's crumbling limestone and shale walls yet gorgeous outcroppings and perfectly shaped hand holds.
  • Saturday we went on a sculpture tour and Jason did not die of boredom as he thought he might...we actually had a great time and it was good to be back in Down Town EC  amongst my hippy counterparts.  I have missed the "art scene" as there is NO culture is Menomonie; unless you count the creepy UW-Stout art majors and their half ass attempts at Jackson Pollock imitations or the creepy dude with a obsession with his ukulele at the Acoustic... J'taime Eau Claire!
  • Terri has been taping me True Blood because I live in the sticks and HBO is not a option - so I have been having a True Blood marathon the last few days.......I find I am getting pissed the more they go off book.  I HATE when movies and TV shows wreck the original art.  Damn you Alan Ball!
  • I am getting another tattoo - soon - that is super sweet.
  • I am been wicked tired lately - I am dreaming of a nap right now as it seems......... My friggen iron levels better not be all over the place again.  I should probably go to to the Dr.  but I won't.
  • Jules and Brusier are back from Boston so I am going to spend all day Wednesday unloading, uploading, chasing after Bruiser, taking snaps, drinking wine and gossiping. You have no idea how badly this lass needs a day of just girl time and baby kisses!

That is all I can think of right now - boring, I told you!
Until tomorrow!

I am so "Crabby!"

No, actually not really! :)  I am quite chipper today because of this little dude!

(Hi! :waves:)

A few weeks ago Jason and I went on a "Living Local Hippy Tour" of the city and stopped in a antique store to have a look around.  Anyone that knows me, is aware of the growing obsession I have with tea cups.   I LOVE tea cups.  So I begged a visit - just to look - at the tea cups!

But I found him instead.  I am also a lover of brass trinket boxes and I had never seen one that was a crustacean before; I was in love.

The I found the tea cup section and I had to make a choice.  The mostly precious, dainty, hand painted Irish tea cup or a brass crab (which was a steal.)  I picked the tea cup.

I had to!  It was to beautiful not to and I *had* to have it!  But I promised the trinket box that I would be back for it and hid him quietly behind a cow cookie jar.  =D

Today; Jason dropped me off at the shoppe on his way to work and I popped in, hell bent on finding him and hoping that my cow did a good job of keeping him from sight.

BRAVO COW - as soon as I walked to the corner I saw his little pincers and my heart went all a flutter!  Honestly, it takes very little to make this Fraulein happy; tea cups, depression glass and brass trinket boxes.  And wine.  and truffles. and Irish Sodas.  Seriously, not much.

(This is going next to the kitchen sink,  he is perfect for my rings when doing the washing up!)

(Now he just needs a name!)

Do you collect any interesting antiques or carry a torch for any particular trinkets?  If so, please share!  I am starting to think that I am in the early stages of a extreme hording habit!

Wordless Wednesday - Truly wordless.........

Slapdash!

Hi!  :waves:

So I have been MIA for a few months now (obviously).   As the humidity wanes, my laptop is not so horrible to use for extended periods so, much like a salmon, I am returning home.  Though instead of dying (hopefully =D) I will just fill you with useless crap and prattle on about MYSELF!

I tried to blog; I did!  But it's summer and I have been soaking up as much of it as possible.  This one has been quite unlike the others in that I have not been totally poor and cooped up non-stop.  I have actual stories and may get around to recapping the summer in a full length blog.  Maybe I will save it for a miserable February day........
Anywho! Staying true to my lazy and procrastinating ways, I have decided to introduce a new feature on my blog; Monday Morning Catch Up!  I have a hate/hate relationship with Monday.  The coffee is never strong enough, the alarm is always going off during the best part of the dream, the dishes are piled up from the whole week-end, it is "bathroom cleaning day."  It is fucking misery, I tell ya!  The house being in a total tip leaves me little to NO time to blog but my little fingers itch to type and write and share so :drum roll please: here is the introductory entry for what I hope to be a new mainstay -

  • I have been kicking major ass at the gym lately!  Jason swears I have biceps! I think it is because it is football season and I feel like a super scrawny wimp whilst jogging on the treadmill and watching MNF!
  • I am slowly turning into Granny.  I am skipping my mother entirely and morphing into a 75 year old.  I have been canning strawberry jam and froze 2 quarts of chili peppers and 6 quarts of green peppers  this last week.  Sometimes I will just open the freezer and look into it; well chuffed at myself for being so flippin' handy!  I could totally survive the Zombie Apocalypse!
  • I have been reading a book a week it seems.  My brain is starved for knowledge and I think it caught wind that I cannot afford to take us back to Uni for my last year (at least this semester) so it has me absorbing everything written down.  Ask me a question about the Tudor Dynasty - go on!
  • Driving out to the shop yesterday I saw a tree turning orange - I instantly got nauseous and started seeing snowflakes...........
  • Jason and I went hiking in the Devil's Punch Bowl yesterday.  There is an amazing rock outcrop and wall that I really want to free-climb but it is friggen sandstone........Beautiful to look at nonetheless!
  • I have watched the "Ireland Scene" in PS I Love You at least 200 times this last week.  <3 <3 my little heart yearns for that kind of love.  A pure kind of love.  I am also reading the book.  My brain is workin' OT!

And that is how that segment is gonna go! =D Ba hahahahaha! I take lazy to a whole new level!

Until the next post lovelies!
